About This Program

The hardest part of running is lacing up for the first time. At Runpundit, our beginner program is built specifically for those who have never run before, haven't run in years, or are coming back after injury. Review after review tells the same story: absolute beginners who 'couldn't run 100 metres' completing 10Ks. Archana Singh Desai hadn't run in 23 years, Coach Vikas got her running 5K continuously. Renu Rajan, turning 50, completed her first 5K. Huma Javeria went from walking at Agara Lake to running 10K continuously. This program works, regardless of where you're starting from. Duration is based on your body's adaptation and your commitment, not a fixed number of weeks.

Absolutely. This program is specifically designed for people who have never run or haven't run in years. Coach Vikas has guided many beginners, including those in their 50s, to run their first 5K.
What if I'm overweight or have health issues?+
We welcome runners of all shapes, sizes, and health backgrounds. Vikas will assess your situation and adapt the program accordingly. We recommend getting medical clearance if you have specific health concerns.
How early are the sessions?+
In-person sessions are at 5AM at Agara Lake. This early morning routine has been a life-changing habit for hundreds of our athletes.
