About This Program

Ultra marathon running is a different beast. The physiological and psychological demands of running 50K, 75K, or 100K require a completely different approach to training, nutrition, pacing, and mental preparation. Coach Vikas Srinivasan has successfully coached ultra athletes at the highest level, A Pratap completed both the Philippines Full Ironman AND a 75K ultra under his guidance, with a 3K pace improvement from 7:00 to 4:15 along the way. This bespoke coaching programme is not a template. It is built entirely around you, your distance target, your race profile, your terrain, and your life outside running. How long it takes depends entirely on how your body adapts and how consistent you are.

Do I need to have run a marathon first?+
For 50K programmes, a comfortable marathon is the minimum prerequisite. For 75K or 100K, we typically require 2+ marathon finishes and significant trail experience.
Can I prepare for an ultra while working full-time?+
Yes, many of Coach Vikas's ultra athletes are working professionals. He designs schedules that work within your life, not against it.
How does ultra nutrition training work?+
We practice fuelling during training runs, testing gels, real food, liquids, and sodium at race-specific intervals so your gut is fully trained by race day.
Which Indian ultras do you recommend?+
Bhatti Lakes Ultra, Mandwa Ultra, Bangalore Ultra, Nandi Hills Ultra. Coach Vikas also prepares athletes for international ultras like UTMB qualifiers.
